Like the sky my heart is filled with pain

angry tears seeking release as rain drops

pour down in sheets I lay in wonderous

loneliness — missing you wanting to forgive

the pain you’ve caused yet my heart aches

Torn pieces, jagged images reflected in memories

of love broken by things said and forgotten

hatred blindingly guiding anger

fear tormenting souls bound together

perhaps one day we’ll find a way back

a way to each other together
